The rights of way paths in the parish are checked twice a year by the Footpath Representatives Coordinator for the St Albans & District Footpath Society.

For some years the Society has been asking HCC for a connection to be (re)established on the south side of the A414 between RB51 (Old Man’s Lane), BR05, and (hopefully) FP45. These all end or cross the A414, and thus are difficult to use safely. The first connection has recently been made (see photo) and, although rough, the route is walkable and could be used by horse riders. The more the route is used, the easier it will be to use in future.
